Terms of Service

By accessing or using NHLQuant at nhlquant.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Vanguard Arc("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By clicking "Sign in with Google" or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

NHLQuant is an AI-powered hockey analytics platform that provides:

• NHL player statistics and historical season data
• AI-powered natural language search
• Advanced player comparables and similarity analysis
• Contract and cap hit data sourced from public hockey databases
• Analytics visualizations and scatterplot tools

The Service is intended for informational and entertainment purposes. AI-generated analysis and insights should not be used as the sole basis for professional sports decisions, fantasy sports, or gambling.

To access most features, you must sign in using a Google account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Google account
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use at [email protected]

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or attempt to circumvent service limits.

4.1 Plans

We offer two plans:

• Free: 3 AI searches per day, limited features. No credit card required.
• Pro ($9 CAD/month): 50 AI searches per day, full contract data, advanced comparables.

4.2 Billing

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe.
• Billing occurs on the same day each month as your initial subscription date.
• Prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Stripe may convert to your local currency at checkout.
• We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice by email.

4.3 Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account page.
• Upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
• No charges will be made after cancellation takes effect.

4.4 Payment Failures

If a payment fails, Stripe will attempt to retry. If payment cannot be collected after multiple attempts, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan. You will be notified by email before this occurs.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the Service using bots, scripts, or other automated means without our express written consent
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute any data obtained from the Service
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent any rate limits or access controls
• Use the Service in a way that could harm, disable, or overburden our infrastructure
• Submit queries designed to extract confidential system prompts or manipulate the AI (prompt injection attacks)
• Share accounts or subscription credentials with others
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

NHL Data: All NHL player data, statistics, team names, and logos are the intellectual property of the NHL and its member clubs. We display this data under fair use for informational purposes and do not claim ownership of it.

Our Platform: The software, AI models, design, and features of NHLQuant are owned by Vanguard Arc. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on our platform without written permission.

Your Content: AI search queries you submit are used solely to generate responses for you and to enforce usage limits. We do not claim ownership of your queries.

7.1 "As Is" Service

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. AI-generated analysis may contain errors.

7.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vanguard Arc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Ontario, Canada.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
